Echoes of Serenity
Echoes of Serenity
5.7in circumference painting on reused vinyl record
When I created this piece, one of the smaller treasures in The Totality Collection, I felt drawn to the idea of using a composted vinyl record as the canvas—a nod to the cycles of decay and renewal that permeate the natural world. As I layered misty fog over the blackened background, I imagined this piece as a portal, inviting you to step into a space where reality blurs and mysteries quietly unfold.
From the shadows, shattered figures began to emerge, almost as if they were whispers of existence—fragile and fleeting. These ghostly forms seemed to speak to the transient nature of life, reminding me of how quickly things can shift and change.
Amidst this otherworldly scene, a single white flower appears, descending or perhaps drifting towards the misty waters below. For me, this delicate bloom represents the ephemeral beauty that lies within the cycle of life and death—a moment of purity and grace in the midst of an ever-changing world.
